16 Original Woman Suffrage Button Papers for the Maine Votes for Women Badge

Offered here is an uncut sheet of 16 original papers for the Maine “Dirigo” woman suffragist pin. “Dirigo” is Latin for the state motto “We Lead.” These papers were meant to be cut down and attached to a round metal backing, then heat covered with celluloid. These papers were never put into final production, presumably because the original order had been filled. The buttons themselves generally sell for around 0 each.  This lot comes professionally matted and framed and is in fine condition with no tears or stains.
