    Description

    Shows light wear, age, patina, minor staining, dings, dents, scratches, possibly missing pieces.
    Cool historical piece! This was part of The US Constitution committee in 1937 and was on display at the Carnegie public library in Washington, Indiana. Great display! Very large and heavy. Cast iron base is stamped seal ink Shelton Connecticut. The pole appears to be pressed steel or aluminum, a less heavy metal than the cast iron base. Display boards are metal edges and feels like a possible fiberboard for the large display part.

    ASSEMBLY REQUIRED! TO BE ABLE TO SHIP THIS ITEM I HAVE TO TAKE IT APART. TO GET IT HOME I TOOK IT APART AND PUT IT BACK TOGETHER TO DISPLAY FOR PICTURES. THERE ARE TWO BOLTS ON THE BOTTOM OF THE CAST IRON STAND. 4 BOLTS FOR THE EAGLE AND BOTTOM BRACKET. THE THREE BOARDS ARE A LITTLE TRICKIER. THE PINS DO NOT STAY IN VERY WELL AND MAY NEED TO BE ADDRESSED. THERE ARE THREE BOARDS TOTAL BUT FIVE SLOTS. I DON'T THINK IT'S MISSING OF ANY BOARDS THOUGH AS ALL FOUR PAGES OF THE CONSTITUTION ARE ACCOUNTED FOR, AS WELL AS A THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE AND SIGNERS.
