1858-P (Popayan) Granadine Confederation 10 Pesos Gold, Colombia, KM122.2, XF/EF, this first year Confederation issue appears to be struck over an 1858 Republic de Granada piece of the same denomination and reverse design.  You can see the first and last letters of the original coin in the obverse legend, among other features that give it a 'double-die' effect.  900 fine and 0.497 troy oz AGW.  Either the original planchet had a flaw or the over-striking caused it as you can see on the reverse edge near DIEZ.  Excellent example of this rare vintage type.  Great addition to any collection.
