    Description

    This is a sepia cabinet card photograph of a determined looking man with a carefully combed hairdo and a wide mustache.  The photographer was Wheeler of Astoria, Oregon.  The mat has Wheeler's information at the bottom but the top says "Backus, 1890, Astoria."  I think that Wheeler is the successor to Backus and is reusing his mats.  There is no information on the back.  It is in great condition with gold around the serated rim.
