HAP JONES THROWS ANNUAL BIRTHDAY PARTY
Celebrating Hap Jones' 18 years in the motorcycle business, over 700 friends gathered at Thornton Beach in Daly
City to make Map's Annual Birthday Party a reall success. In addition to, and to stir up an appetite for, the lavish
spread served by the San Francisco Motorcycle Club, an English Trials was held. Harold Emick laid out the tough course
and eighty-five riders balanced their way toward fame and fortune. Norman lllsley, late of Washington, D. C., and now
a resident of Santa Rosa, was the most expert. As a matter of record, he didn't lose a point. Eleven trophies were dis-
tributed and the following were the winners: Norman lllsley, Bill Meier, Joe Godsie, Cy Homer, Slim Bressler, Bill Verbis-
cio, Bob Hughes, Ray Weil, Dick Bailey, R. F. lllsley and Doug Harbe. Many happy returns of the day, Hap, from all
your countless friends throughout the country.
