This is a period original piece and not some cheapie later reprint. Overall Framed 24.5x24 inches in diameter. Impressive original period piece.
This print closely follows the 1885 redesign of the Great Seal by James Horton Whitehouse, which has been in use ever since. The lithographer, Andrew Butler Graham (1852-1909), was a government
draftsman until taking over the family lithography firm in 1889. The Library of Congress holds an alternate state of this print, with the signature below the border in the margin--the present copy has the printed signature within the border. This print would appear to be intended for use in a government office. The present copy has been matted circular to its present form, laid down, and framed.
