Antique Italian Italy brass balance scale with 12 weights in fitted wooden tray

Description

The two pans and beam are all marked P. Cinquecento gr. 18, along with 3 impressed stamps...see the 4th photo.   The smaller weights range from 1 gramm to 50 gramm.   There are 4 larger weights all marked 1 ettog (which is 100 grams)...these 4 have the same impressed stamps as the pans and beam.  There is a little patination on the pans.  They measure 3 3/4 x 4". The beam, where pierced, has white metal fittings....these can be seen in the 3rd photo. It is 10 1/2" wide x 6" tall, plus the ring. There is no top to the wooden tray and no markings other than an auction tag.   The tray bottom has some chips and crack in the wood. The tray measurtes 6 3/4 x 11 1/4" This is an estate find and I can offer you no information about the maker.
