Item Description
Nice antique scale for your collection or to use again.  The scale is probably from the late 1800s, but just a guess, you be the judge.   Would make a great gift or keep for yourself!
Beautiful old scale with brass tower, balance beam, brass lever, and pans.  Also, a brass pull on the front of the drawer.
The scale has an older wood base with a drawer.  The wood appears to be made of walnut.  The remains of an old state inspection seal in red on the top of the case.  No maker marks on the scale or the base, we would guess it is of English origination.
A number of sheet and barrel weights in the scale drawer.  Some have markings on them.
Both brass pans shows some finish loss.
What you see here is what you get.  The wood base shows some trim loss on the front of the case.  Moderate finish loss over the entire wood case.  Not an expert in scales, so not sure if anything is missing or not.  The pin that holds the brass lever in place is a newer piece.
The scale is 10-5/8" across, by 11.25" tall, by 6" wide.  There is no representation being made that this scale is in working order.  Also, it has not been calibrated in any manner.  The scale is being sold as an antique collector's item.  Let us know if you have any questions or need additional pictures.
