    Description

    Up for sale is this original antique Mt. Ayer, Iowa cabinet card photo of a man with a bushy beard.  The photo was removed from an album where the man was identified as being one Rev. Philip J. Vollmar.  Vollmar was a methodist preacher who is buried with his family in Corydon Cemetery in Corydon, Iowa.  I was able to find a picture of his grave at the Find a Grave website, though the website has a typo where his first name is spelt "Phillip," instead of the correct, "Philip."  The cabinet card is in very good condition with just some minor wear.  It dates to sometime around the late 1800's.  The card measures approximately 6 1/2 inches by 4 1/4 inches.  Please look at the scans to further note the condition.
