Here is a great Antique Volanda & Sons Apothecary Scale for your buying consideration. Would make a great gift for a special occasion, or keep for yourself!  The scale probably dates from the 1910s to 1920s period.
The scale was made by a company named Volanda & Sons of New Rochelle, NY.  The scale has a plate on the front for the Central Scientific Co of Chicago whom was probably the distributor of the scale.  Quite unique manufacturer, you do not see many of this company's scales available.  The tray holders hang on come with the scale as well.  There is a brass and glass bubble level built on the wood base of this scale as well.  Cannot see the bubble and the fluid.
The brass base of the scale tower has two brass screws that hold the tower in place.  A nicely made apothecary scale.  Not sure what the second adjusting screw on the front of the scale does.  Do not see anything being operated by it.
The glass is intact on the sides, back and front of this scale.  The top piece of glass is missing.  The wood and glass front door is no longer hooked up to the cord and pulleys for staying up on it's own.  No cracking or blistering of any of the scale glass.
Beautiful wood case on this scale.  The wood appears to be mahogany.  Most of the finish is there and I see no cracking or missing pieces to the case.   The black base of the scale is a slate or marble and is intact.  Trim on the right top of the door is loose and needs some reattaching attention.  The three metal legs are in place and work.
The pull for the door is not there.  No back door which is quite unique as well.  Cannot say if the scale is all there or not.  What you see in the pics and described here is what you get.   The lock mechanism for the scale is still operable.  A nice drawer with the pulls to store items in.
No weight sets come with this scale.

The Antique Scale is 17-18" tall, by 16-7/8" across, by 11" wide (by lock knob).  Let us know if you have any questions or need additional pictures.  The scale will be partially disassembled so that it can safely be shipped to you.  So, expect some reassembly.
