  • Condition: Small scratch lines in places on the inside bottom of the bowl and on the sides. No cracks. Along the rim, there are three small spots; one, I believe, is due to flow of the glaze and the other two may be dings. You can see them in the photos. The lighter swaths around the rim are due to thickness of glaze. The bottom base of the bowl shows normal wear. This item shows normal wear of an item its age.

    Description

    Bowl was made by Bernard Moore, from a family of British potters in the early 20th Century.  It bears the distinctive red shiny glaze known as "Sang de Boeuf" or bull's blood.  On the inside of the bowl along the sides is a scroll design in red standing out from a darker tone of the red glaze.  The bottom of the bowl is stunning with a unique showy feather design.
    This item is one of Bernard Moore's most decorative pieces, I believe.
