Cute Antique Art Deco Monophone Bakelite Desk Phone, Untested, Free Shipping!
Here we have a very cute Monophone desk phone. This item is untested; we do not have a land line. This is an old phone, made from Bakelite. The rotary dial action is smooth with a pleasing sound. Cord from base to receiver seems to be original cloth-covered, non-curled cord. The Cord from the base to the phone jack is out from the base, though still connected (please see photos); I suspect this may be a replacement for the original. There is a bit of paint chipping on the metal cross piece of the cradle (please see photos). There is a small crack/rip in the rubber base, to the right of the rear screw holding the bottom to the body.
This cool old Art Deco desk phone would look great on a desk or in a collection. It could also be used as a prop for film or stage. Plus, you can really hang up on someone with authority with one of these old timey phones. Try it; you'll like it.
