    Description

This is one lot of several pieces of memorabilia (see examples in picture) related to deceased UNITED STATES SENATOR ARTHUR VANDENBERG, from GRAND RAPIDS, MICHIGAN.  Senator Vandenberg passed away in April 1951 at the age of 67.  In addition to a dozen newspaper clippings, this lot includes (1) a 1932 booklet of Vandenberg's "Government Reorganization" speech on the National Broadcasting System, (2) a December 1944 unsigned personal letter and envelope to his son-in-law, John Bailey, (3) a February 1952 booklet containing a picture and article on the renaming of the Arthur H. Vandenberg School in Grand Rapids, and (4) a ONE OF A KIND thank you note to Senator Vandenberg's daughter, Mrs. John Bailey, from the principal of the Vandenberg School, thanking her for "your willingness to give us the honor of naming our school for your illustrious father".   This memorabilia is clean and intact, exhibiting light wear, creasing, folds, and discoloration from handling and storage over the past 70+ years.  This memorabilia would make a nice addition to your own collection, or it would make a great gift for that Arthur Vandenberg enthusiast, Grand Rapids historian, or vintage memorabilia collector in your life!  Postage is .50.  And, of course I'll combine postage on multiple purchases.  Sorry, NO international shipping.  Be sure to check the other items in my eBay store, too!
