    Description

    For sale is a circa 1850s Engraved Declaration of Independence by George G. Smith featuring the first 12 United States Presidents and images representing the 13 original states. Features the full text with bolded, important words and phrases along with all the signatures. Amazing piece.
    On bottom of the piece it is printed:
    "Engraved by Geo. G. Smith"
    "Published by Chas Root, 186 Washington, corner of Franklin St., Boston."
    The entire piece measures 9.75" x 12". One of only a handful of examples of this work that I could find that have sold. I'm sure there are a few in museums and collegiate collections throughout the country.
    It does have some condition flaws, please read here:
    Engraving shows antique wear from age and being stored, folded. Has creases from folding and on the corners from them being folded. Small hole in middle from folding.
