This is a rare offering for a matching pair of beautiful faience vases. These large, 12" tall stoneware vases were made in the late 19th Century, probably circa 1872 - 1891. I believe the artist is Alberta L. Green who worked for the Doulton Lambeth Pottery in London England during this time period. These are exceptional examples of fine faience artistry. Together, they represent a rare opportunity to acquire two pieces of extraordinarily beautiful vases.
The vases have a shouldered ovoid body with flared base and rim. The design is like a beautiful watercolor painting with creamy flowers and green and brown foliage on a mottled dark green ground. The appropriate impressed marks and painted initials of the artist are on each base. Though very similar, each hand-decorated vase is custom-made.  I acquired these in Devonshire, England. At this time, I prefer to sell them as a pair even though each is a beautiful stand-alone objet d'art.
The vases are
medium-large
measuring about 12" tall and 5" in diameter at the widest. The base diameter is 4" and the rim diameter is 4 1/2". For some reason, they appear larger to me.
The condition is superb with no chips, cracks, scratches, damage, or repairs. There are several pictures that confirm this assessment.
