This is an 18th century reproduction of a traveling fork & knife set with a leather case.. The set was fashioned after one in the Encyclopedia of the American Revolution. The measurements in the open position  are 8" and when closed 4". Both the fork and knife fit in the leather case making it easy to carry in your haversack. The good thing about carrying a set of these is  they are light weight and compact. The blades are made of a low grade stainless steel as they will rust if you do not take care of them, the handles are made of wood with brass sheet metal bolster. The knife blade has somewhat of an edge,but not razor sharp. This is a useful set to carry with you on your next campaign or trek. You will receive one fork one knife and one carrying case. These are hand made and the wood on the handles may vary in color somewhat. The case is hand made and the leather may vary a little in color and quality.
