This is Volume I of a 2 volume matched set containing the complete history of the Henderson Motorcycle. It is written by Richard Schultz, the noted authority on Hendersons. Volume I is 219 pages covering 1911 through 1931. The Table of Contents: Chapter I: The Two Ends, Chapter II: Forming the Henderson Company, Chapter III: The New Henderson Motorcycle, Chapter IV: The 1913 Henderson, Chapter V: The 1914 Henderson, Chapter VI: The 1915 Henderson, Chapter VII: The 1916 Henderson, Chapter VIII: The 1917 Henderson, Chapter IX: A New Home for the Hendersons, Chapter X: The Last Hendersons. Appendix: Original Henderson and Schwinn Documents. Volume I is leather bound and comes with an attractive dust cover and is signed by Rich.You may also be interested in Volume II that is offered together with Volume I or separately in my other auctions. Volume II (not included in this auction) is matched to Volume I and contains supplemental material for Hendersons from 1918 - 1931 not found in the original volume. The sections include: Henderson 1918-1931, Servicing Information and Technical Details, Experimental and Custom Hendersons, 4-Cylindar Motorcycles, Henderson Memorabilia and Ontario Provincial Police Henderson. Volume II also contains a forward by Jay Leno: "...this is a well-thought out, scholarly approach to a little known piece of motorcycle history..." These are the few remaining of this second and final publishing. There will be no more.
