    Additional Notes:
The following is from the book: "The major opinion polls, which rightfully claim a high degree of accuracy, have presented us with seemingly contradictory findings of their recent opinion gatherings. They have found that a majority of Americans believe President Nixon to be guilty of at least one impeachable offense, yet an almost identical majority would not want him impeached. However, these seeming contradictions are comprehensible when viewed in the light of the sparse general knowledge and broad misunderstanding of this seldom used constitutional authority. Not since Andrew Johnson was impeached in 1868 has presidential impeachment been seriously considered.  Impeachment is not conviction. IT does not mean removal from office without a trial or imply guilt without a trial. Rather, impeachment is a determination that sufficient evidence of wrongdoing exists to bring a public official to trial."
