    Description

    Offering 3 Vintage Cups & Saucers Sets Watcombe Torquay Mottoware.  The three cups have mottos as follows:  Ill blows the wind that profits nobody, Time and tide want for no man, and A good name is better than riches.  The cups stand 2 7/8" tall, 3 1/4" in diameter at the top.  The saucers are 5.5" in diameter.  One of the saucers is marked on the underside:  Watcombe Torquay England; the other two saucers are unmarked.  Two of the cups are marked MADE IN ENGLAND on the underside, one cup is unmarked.  Note that one cup doesn't have the blue band at the top edge (that cup is the unmarked one.)  I don't see any crazing on the Ill blows the wind cup, the other two have visible crazing under the glaze.  All three cups have some reasonable wear to the glaze on the top rims.
